In 1960, Walter Carl Conner started the business with a backhoe and dump truck based out of his home in North Spokane,
Washington. Purchasing a cable plow in 1963, W.C. Conner Excavating was one of the first contractors in Spokane to start
plowing for cable. With help from his son, Dale Conner, Walter expanded the business into a new location with a larger
fleet of equipment, providing service to both local phone and power companies, as well as residential customers.
Today, the company is still family owned and operated. Jerry Conner, the third generation, assisted his father in the
further expansion of the business. Today, Jerry oversees Conner Excavating, Inc., providing a diverse variety of services
to meet the needs of today's customers.
